The final day of our 1,000+ mile Harley chopper camping trip—and somehow we ended up riding almost the entire length of Idaho in a single day.
We woke up in Troy, Montana after camping for the night, packed up the choppers and headed toward Sandpoint, Idaho. We stopped for breakfast at the Hoot Owl, said goodbye to Miyagi as he headed home, and with Bobby somewhere out there in his U-Haul, it was down to Kenny, Isaac and myself to start the long ride south.
The plan was simple: ride Highway 95 through Idaho and make it to New Meadows for the night.
This ended up being one of my favorite days of the entire trip.
Highway 95 gave us everything—endless trees, mountain curves, rolling farmland, small towns and some perfect overcast riding weather.
Eventually we rolled into New Meadows and technically could have called it a day! We had been on the bikes all day and exhausted.
But Isaac and I were still on a high from riding and wanted more!
Home was only another couple hours away.
Screw it. Let's go.
We jumped back on the choppers, continued south on Highway 95, hit I-84 and rode all the way back home to the Treasure Valley.
From roughly 30 miles from the Canadian border to Southern Idaho in a day—on Harley-Davidson choppers we built ourselves in the garage.
It's hard to explain how good that feels.
Over 1,000 miles of choppers, camping, mountain passes, breakdowns, roadside repairs, incredible roads and some of the best scenery Idaho and Montana have to offer.
What a trip.
Thanks to everyone who followed along for all three parts and continues to support CROOKS MOTO.
Now it's time to figure out where we're riding next!
